A deer that had lost its fear of humans attacked a woman outside her home

In the United States, a resident of the state of Colorado survived an attack by a deer and suffered serious injuries. This is reported by the Department of Parks and Wildlife of the state.

The animal attacked a 67-year-old American woman from the town of Silver Cliff in December 16. The woman said she was leaving her home when she spotted a black-tailed deer. The animal pounced on the American woman and tried to maul her, but she was able to fight it off. The woman ran into the house and called her husband for help. She was soon taken to the hospital with a stab wound to her left leg and severe contusions to her right leg. Her life is currently not in any danger.

After the attack, two young male deer were seen fighting each other in the American woman’s yard. A Colorado Parks and Wildlife Department employee inspected the scene and found a bird feeder outside the victim’s home. According to the woman, she had tossed bread to the birds shortly before her encounter with the deer. As the organization believes, the animal that attacked the American woman was being fed. As a result, it lost its fear of people and became aggressive and dangerous.
